About Me

It was in May of 2011 that I discovered that not all triathlons are full Ironman Distances. When I realized that, I immediately had a strong desire to start training for a sprint distance triathlon. Eight weeks later I finished my first sprint tri. I was hooked!

2012 was my first full racing season and there were only a couple of races that I didn’t place in the top 3 overall female category or the top 3 in my age group. I qualified for the USAT Nationals twice in 2012 but was unable to go due to an injury. I love everything about triathlons…..the training, my coach, my teammates, the gear, the culture and friendships made just to name a few.

I took 2013 off to have baby number two. Four days after I gave birth I registered for the 2014 Ironman Arizona. I lost 50 lbs and became an Ironman one year later. Dreams do come true.

Some of my future goals are to make it to the USAT Nationals and to someday do some crit races (gulp).
